About the Role

The Senior Acquisition Marketing Manager will be a part of the Partner Growth team and will be responsible for supporting our partners with improving their acquisition strategies, developing paid media strategies, and ensuring partners are fully utilising all OSP features that drive acquisition and new customer conversion.

You will consult with partners through both in-depth projects, and ongoing optimisation forums aimed at improving their commercial performance. 

You will inspire partners and build strong relationships, share learnings, and leverage data to enable our partners to succeed. 

This is an entrepreneurial role, and requires someone who is comfortable identifying new opportunities, and setting up new programs and services that deliver value to our partners. 

The role sits within the wider partner success department, where we work closely with our international retail partners to help them operate the Ocado Smart Platform in the most effective way. The goal of partner success is to ensure our partners get maximum value out of our technology; we help partners solve strategic business challenges, share best practice, and enable them to drive their ecommerce business through data and subject matter expertise. 

Partner growth is dedicated to supporting our partners to achieve strong commercial results through sharing data, insights, and best practice. We support partners with strategies around customer acquisition, retention, and onsite optimisation. We also help partners maximise the ecommerce functionality within OSP to help unlock more growth. The team will also provide consulting services to our partners. 

  • Build and deliver acquisition strategies to help partners scale new customer growth and active customer base
  • Work with partners on their paid media strategy and performance across key channels including paid search, paid social, programmatic display, email marketing, and offline media such as direct mail and out of home advertising
  • Translate commercial targets into clear media investment plans, optimising for CAC, LTV and contribution
  • Analyse partner acquisition performance, identify growth opportunities and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Develop structured test-and-learn roadmaps to improve channel effectiveness and unlock new growth levers
  • Act as a subject matter expert on acquisition and paid media best practice, both internally and externally
  • Build scalable playbooks and frameworks to accelerate partner maturity
  • Work closely with product and technology teams to identify gaps and opportunities to improve acquisition capability
  • Ensure partners are fully leveraging relevant OSP features to maximise acquisition performance

About you

  • Experience in a senior digital marketing role responsible for customer acquisition, experience within online Grocery industry and within international markets is a big plus
  • Proven track record of scaling customer acquisition in an eCommerce or retail environment
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of how to run and optimize various acquisition channels with a focus on paid media
  • Experience developing strategic approaches on targeting and segmenting audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial impact within a business, previous responsibility for a P&L or budget is  beneficial
  • Comfortable utilising data to gain a clear understanding of the customer journey, identify and implement improvements, and measure performance 
  • Experience analysing effectiveness of various marketing channels through different measurement frameworks, and optimizing marketing return on investment/ CPA:LTV
