Our Financial Advisory Services teams needs two problem solvers, ideally with existing restructuring and insolvency experience to join us. This role would suit someone in an Analyst or Senior level role who wants to build a dynamic career in this space.
You would be joining a close-knit team who work on assignments across New Zealand. Our work also has some exciting international elements, that we are looking to develop.
The team is very tight knit, emphasising quality and collaboration, while enjoying each other’s company.
You will be responsible to assist in the day-to-day delivery of a wide range of restructuring and insolvency assignments. Such as:
· Executing tasks such as trading businesses, the sale of a business and asset realisation processes, close down and exit strategies, financial investigations and developing and bringing legal claims
· Supervised engagement and correspondence with a range of stakeholders including employees, directors, IRD, creditors, suppliers and shareholders to review and adjudicate on claims
· Planning and executing formal insolvency engagements including receiverships, voluntary administrations, and liquidations
· Undertaking investigative accounting reviews to diagnose issues, understand a company’s financial position and future prospects and advise stakeholders on the options available (this will include the preparation of data books and review/development of financial models)
In addition to the delivery of engagements, you will have the chance to build your own personal brand in the market, developing and strengthening existing relationships with law firms, banks, government organisations and other key referrers.

About you:
· 2+ years’ experience working in a CA or similar environment, bonus if you have existing experience with insolvency and restructuring engagements
· Excellent interpersonal skills
· Ability to critically think and solve problems (from both a commercial and legal perspective)
· Very good written and oral communication skills
· Strong financial modelling and data book preparation
· A commerce degree, and working towards a CA, CPA qualifications
· Previous exposure to a variety of organisations and industries
· A client focused approach to work
· The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
