This is a strategic analytics leadership role supporting Westpac's Everyday Banking Products portfolio. Partnering with senior leaders, you'll turn complex data into actionable insights that drive growth, improve customer outcomes and influence key business decisions. 

You'll provide thought leadership across Everyday Banking Products, helping shape portfolio strategy, prioritise opportunities and optimise performance across products including Everyday Banking growth, savings, term investments, credit cards and unsecured lending. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to communicate complex insights with influence and impact. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Setting the strategic direction for analytics, insights and measurement across the Everyday Banking Products portfolio. 

  • Driving portfolio performance by identifying growth opportunities while balancing profitability and risk. 

  • Translating complex data into compelling insights and recommendations that influence senior leaders and support commercial decision making. 

  • Acting as the key analytics partner across the portfolio, aligning priorities and ensuring focus on the highest-value opportunities. 

  • Leading the development of robust performance measures, reporting frameworks and governance practices. 

  • Delivering actionable insights that support growth, performance and balanced risk management outcomes. 

  • Embedding continuous improvement through performance monitoring, optimisation and measurement. 

  • Building and developing a high-performing analytics team. 

  • Partnering across analytics, product, risk and data teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. 

Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring? 

  • Experience in analytics, portfolio performance or product analytics within a banking environment 

  • Background in everyday banking products, including EveryDay Banking, unsecured lending, savings, term investments, credit cards or similar product portfolios 

  • Strong commercial acumen, including an understanding of growth, profitability, balance sheet dynamics, customer value and risk trade-offs 

  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities and drive outcomes in a complex environment 

  • Confidence translating complex data into clear, practical and commercially relevant recommendations 

  • Experience defining performance measures, reporting frameworks and measurement approaches 

  • Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a high-performing analytics team
