Severn Trent is seeking a Senior AWS Engineer in Coventry to design, deploy and govern AWS environments and shape a future multi-cloud with Azure. You’ll own AWS Landing Zone governance, implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or CloudFormation, and build solutions while integrating on-premise and Azure workloads. The role emphasizes security, cost optimization, monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with networking, security and applications teams. It’s 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, onsite at the Severn Trent Centre with some on-call work in the Hosting Services team. In this role, you’ll design, deploy, and manage AWS environments while supporting our transition to a multi-cloud architecture alongside our Azure-skilled team. You’ll be at the forefront of innovation, ensuring our cloud platforms are robust, cost-effective, and secure.
What You’ll Do
You'll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry. You’ll work within our Hosting Services team of 14. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday with some on call working.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for Hands-on AWS experience in design, deployment, and management to lead from the front in this exciting new project. Your familiarity with multi-cloud strategies (Azure exposure is a plus) will be a real bonus, as will a strong understanding of security, automation, and cloud best practices.
