Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts (ADGM Courts) are the common law courts of Abu Dhabi’s International Financial Centre, Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). ADGM Courts are comprised of a Court of First Instance and a Court of Appeal. The Court of First Instance hears and determines civil and commercial claims or disputes falling within Article 13 of ADGM’s Founding Law, Abu Dhabi Law No.4 of 2013 (as amended by Law No.12 of 2020). These include disputes involving ADGM’s entities and those which parties agree in their commercial contracts are to be submitted to ADGM Courts. The Court of Appeal hears appeals from judgments of the Court of First Instance. The Senior Case Manager plays a critical leadership role within ADGM Courts, overseeing the effective management of the Court’s caseload while leading and developing a team of Case Managers. Building on the core responsibilities of case management, this role is responsible for supervising registry operations, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality client services, and driving continuous improvement across systems, processes, and team performance. The Senior Case Manager acts as a senior point of contact for complex and escalated matters, working closely with the Registrar, Judges, legal representatives, and internal stakeholders. The role also contributes to the strategic development of ADGM Courts through data-driven insights, operational enhancements, and leadership of key initiatives.
Operational Responsibilities
• Oversee case allocation across the team, ensuring balanced workloads and appropriate prioritisation
• Monitor case progress and quality, stepping in to resolve escalations and remove blockers
• Ensure all case handling complies with internal policies, legal frameworks, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of ADGM Courts’ eCourts Platform, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
• Ensure consistent application of ADGM Court Procedure Rules across all casework
Team Leadership & Management
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Case Managers, ensuring high performance and accountability
• Allocate caseloads strategically, balancing workload, complexity, and team capability
• Conduct regular performance reviews, 1:1s, and development planning• Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to enhance team capability
• Foster a collaborative, professional, and high-performing team culture
• Identify resource gaps and support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
Case Management Excellence
• Maintain oversight of case progression, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and KPIs are consistently met
• Review complex filings, procedural issues, and case developments, providing direction where required
• Ensure effective management of evidence, hearing bundles, and case documentation
• Oversee responses to stakeholder enquiries, ensuring consistency and professionalism Stakeholder & Relationship Management • Act as a senior liaison for Judges, legal representatives, litigants, and internal stakeholders
• Manage escalations and resolve complex issues with sound judgment and professionalism
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the legal profession and ADGM stakeholders
Systems, Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Lead enhancements to the eCourts Platform in collaboration with IT teams
• Oversee testing, implementation, and optimisation of system upgrades and releases
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and risks, and implement solutions to improve service delivery
• Drive the development and standardisation of templates, manuals, and processes
Reporting, Strategy & Governance
• Oversee preparation of dashboards, KPI reports, and management information
• Provide insights and recommendations to the Registrar and senior leadership
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, and performance tracking
• Contribute to business continuity planning, risk management, and compliance initiatives
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in law Work Experience
• 10–12+ years’ experience in a law firm, court system, corporate legal/compliance department, or similar environment
• Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team is essential
• Proven experience overseeing complex casework and operational delivery
• Strong experience in driving process improvements and managing digital platforms
• Advanced IT and document management system expertise

The ADGM Courts support ADGM with a fully independent common law framework to adjudicate civil and commercial disputes. The ADGM Courts’ regulations and supporting rules enshrine ADGM’s legal framework of the direct application of English common law, making it the first jurisdiction in the Middle East to adopt a similar approach to that of Singapore and Hong Kong.
