We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer – Buildings to join our Perth, WA office.
In this role, you will lead the civil design and delivery of large buildings and precinct projects—including health, education, commercial, defence and mixed-use developments. You’ll provide technical leadership across site civil works, ensuring solutions are safe, compliant, buildable and aligned with broader project outcomes.
You will work closely with architects, structural and building services teams, and coordinate with planning, environment, transport and utilities stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes. As a senior member of the team, you’ll mentor junior engineers, support design reviews and client workshops, and contribute to proposals and work-winning.
Demonstrated experience delivering civil engineering for large building projects in Australia, including site development and precinct-scale infrastructure.
Strong technical capability across site civil design, including bulk earthworks, stormwater drainage, flood considerations, roadworks and pavements (as applicable), grading, utilities coordination, and construction staging/constructability.
Experience in civil design documentation and delivery to Australian standards and guidelines, with working knowledge of relevant requirements including (as applicable):
AS/NZS 3500 (stormwater/drainage interfaces)
Austroads / local road authority guidance where relevant
Local government and authority approval pathways in WA (highly regarded)
Proficiency with relevant design tools such as 12d, Civil 3D (or equivalent), and confidence coordinating design models and drawings across disciplines.
Ability to manage interfaces and coordinate stakeholders—architects, contractors, utilities, local authorities and multidisciplinary design teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including producing clear reports, design documentation and client-ready outputs.
Proven ability to mentor junior engineers, manage priorities, and contribute to high-quality, on-time delivery.
Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering (Chartered status or working toward is highly regarded).
