To provide clinical supervision, mentorship and leadership for junior psychology staff in addition to providing care for patients presenting with psychological difficulties by delivering independent and high-quality psychological assessment and intervention plans in collaboration with other medical teams
Clinical Supervision and Leadership Job Responsibilities
• Provide clinical/administrative supervision and mentorship to junior psychologists, interns, and other mental health staff.
• Develop and implement clinical practice guidelines and ensure junior staff’s abidance to rules and policies as applied and implemented in the Section/Department/Facility
• Formulate and implement quality improvement project for the Psychology department
• Participate in recruitment, orientation, and indication of psychology staff.
• Develop and implement orientation processes for new staff and interns
• Deliver formal and informal training to staff on psychological theory and interventions.
• Ensure adherence to ethical, professional, and clinical standards
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical programs and services.
• Introduce improvements based on clinical/operational outcomes and emerging best practices.
• Support professional development and continuing education initiatives.
• Oversee the delivery of evidence-based psychological therapeutic services (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT) and ensure quality and effectiveness of the delivered therapies.
Clinical Job Responsibilities
• Provides highly specialist one-to-one psychological consultations and interventions for individuals, families and groups within areas of specialization
• Conducts assessments and evaluate treatment options, considering both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group
• Determines casework for people experiencing severe psychological difficulties
• Coordinates and contributes to the assessment and formulation of risk management plans and psychosocial interventions for patients
• Collaborate with junior clinical psychologists in the provision of consultative services
• Participates with multi-disciplinary teams in the assessment and care planning of the psychological aspects of the patients’ needs
• Ensures and participates in providing coverage to the various service areas, populations and settings, for patients, carers and colleagues

• Completing and maintaining all regulatory requirements including licensure, certifications and other mandatory trainings within established timeframes
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology plus a master’s degree in clinical psychology plus five-year experience in a clinical setting.
• Currently licensed as Clinical Psychologist by the Department of Health Abu Dhabi.
• A PhD in Clinical Psychology or other related clinical specialty is desirable.

• Certificate of training in Clinical Psychology in a reputable institution. Training must be of two years minimum.

• Certificate of completion of training in one of the recognized psychotherapy techniques; preferable training duration of two years in a clinical setting
Experience:
Required:
• A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of clinical psychology, dealing with cases of psychopathology, in a clinical setting. Training can be counted of the five years if a valid training certificate in a recognized institution was submitted.
• A minimum of two years’ experience in conducting psychotherapy with adults, adolescents, paediatric and/or geriatric patients.
• Stronghold of psychopathology diagnosis, assessment and intervention plans.
