Transport for NSW is hiring two temporary Senior Communications & Engagement Officers (up to 12 months) on-site at Macquarie Park to deliver comms strategies for key programs in Safety, Legislation or Policy within the Rollingstock and Engineering and Maintenance branches. In this role, you'll:

 

 

Be assisting in the development and delivery of high value communication strategies for key programs and projects such as Safety, Legislation or Policy projects and other priorities for the Rollingstock and Engineering and Maintenance Branches within Sydney Trains.

 

You will also contribute to a range of end-to-end communication activities, including the drafting of communication plans and the publishing of creative content across a variety of channels and platforms.

 

You will ensure all divisional and agency communications support the delivery of optimal business outcomes and are aligned with Transport’s enterprise-wide communications strategy.

 

We are currently have two vacant temporary opportunities up to 12 months.

About you

 

 

You are a strategic communicator with experience developing and delivering targeted communication and engagement activities. You create compelling content, tailored messaging and communication plans that align with organisational priorities, support business outcomes and resonate with diverse audiences.

 

You are a skilled writer and storyteller with strong content development, editing and proofreading capabilities. You produce high-quality communication materials across multiple channels, ensuring messaging is clear, engaging and consistent with brand, audience and strategic requirements.

 

You are analytical and outcomes-focused, using research, data and insights to inform communication strategies and measure success. You can manage competing priorities, identify risks and opportunities, contribute to reporting and evaluation activities, and provide trusted communications advice to stakeholders and leaders.
