Job Overview:
The Senior Construction Tech completes a variety of Construction assignments as needed and can complete work with a limited degree of supervision. They are an informal resource for colleagues with less Construction experience. The Senior Construction Tech has developed proficiency in various analytical processes or procedures to carry out assigned tasks. They provide solutions to problems in atypical or infrequently occurring situations based on existing precedents or procedures. They directly impact the quality of the work of the team.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Engineering/ Procurement/ Construction data wrangling - querying, structuring, cleaning, and transforming datasets for imports/exports, analytics, and reporting
- Responsible for the development of a plan for project material storage, handling, transport & FTM
- Supervise the project material bag/tag & material reconciliation activities
- Lead the preparation for delivery of project ship loose items to offshore
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the life cycle of all equipment, incorporating effective maintenance and repair, and including the tracking of equipment and its utilization
- Support the operation team to prepare equipment budgets and procure potential new equipment
- Establish a system to define the life cycle of an asset and make recommendations as and when any asset requires replacement
- Work with the Procurement department to evaluate new technology upgrades on our current assets related to efficiency/energy improvement, maintenance cost reduction, and life cycle improvement
- Define cost savings and provide a recommendation to management
- Monitor compliance with all assets-related procedures
- Monitor and manage all procurement, refurbishment, and repair, quality control of in-house repairs of assets to ensure established procedures are followed
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Any Graduate/Diploma in Material Management
- Over 8 years in the Oil & Gas/ Fabrication/Construction/Marine/Petrochemical industry as a systems admin
- Familiar with Offshore/Onshore Engineering 3D design & detailing tools data management (S3D, E3D, Tekla, Spoolgen)
- Hands-on experience with design review tools Smartplant Review, Autodesk forge
- Knowledge of reports design, development, and distribution (SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, Telerik)
- Hand experience in MS Office tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training & considerable on-the-job experience
