DNV is seeking a Senior Consultant in Asset Management SEMELA, based in Abu Dhabi, full-time, to deliver advisory services on power equipment including substations and RMUs, FAT/SAT witnessing and power failure investigations. You will collaborate with teams in Dubai and Iberia, with initial focus on compliance verification and RCA using IEC 62740, backed by strong transformer design and failure expertise and data management skills. Requirements: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 10–15 years or Master’s with 8–10 years, proven RCA and FAT/SAT experience, fluent English, willingness to travel; Arabic a plus. The Asset Management team supports our customers by providing expert guidance on the technical aspects of power equipment. Our services cover substations equipment (power transformers, switchgears, GIS, AIS, etc.), overhead lines, cables, and RMUs. We deliver specialized advisory services ranging from design reviews and factory acceptance test witnessing to strategic asset lifecycle management, compliance review and verification, power failure investigations, and technical assurance & optimization.
We are currently looking for a Senior colleague in our Asset Management team in SEMELA, located in UAE.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across our two main hubs (Dubai and Iberia) to provide technical consulting services, with an initial focus on compliance review & verification and power failure investigations.
This position requires solid expertise in power transformer design, operation, and failure modes, along with hands-on experience in power failure investigations/root cause analysis, including the IEC 62740 methodology. A good foundation in data management tools and electrical modelling is also expected.
