The Asset Management team supports our customers by providing expert guidance on the technical aspects of power equipment. Our services cover substations equipment (power transformers, switchgears, GIS, AIS, etc.), overhead lines, cables, and RMUs. We deliver specialized advisory services ranging from design reviews and factory acceptance test witnessing to strategic asset lifecycle management, compliance review and verification, power failure investigations, and technical assurance & optimization.

We are currently looking for a Senior colleague in our Asset Management team in SEMELA, located in UAE.

In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across our two main hubs (Dubai and Iberia) to provide technical consulting services, with an initial focus on compliance review & verification and power failure investigations.

This position requires solid expertise in power transformer design, operation, and failure modes, along with hands-on experience in power failure investigations/root cause analysis, including the IEC 62740 methodology. A good foundation in data management tools and electrical modelling is also expected.

You will be providing our customers in the energy sector with the following types of services:

  • Advisory services in Asset Management in Power Equipment.
  • Design review, Factory Acceptance tests witnessing 
  • Power Failure Investigations/Root Cause Analysis
  • Technology scouting

  • Line Manager in UAE (e.g. for reporting and issue escalation)
  • Other Asset Management consultants in SEMELA, and other Asset Management teams in DNV.

To be taken into consideration you should have:

  • Master Degree preferred with 8-10 years of experience. 
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering with 10-15 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in power failure investigations, with a focus on power and distribution transformers.
  • Hands-on experience in witnessing electrical equipment tests (FAT/SAT).
  • Solid background in design reviews for substation equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing site assessment processes.
  • Excellent command of English both written and spoken; Arabic will be considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as part of the role.
