We are looking for a
Senior Consultant Financial Consolidation to join our Professional Services Center of Excellence (CoE) at our
Chiasso HQ.
In this role, you will lead and deliver complex financial consolidation projects for enterprise customers, helping them design and implement modern, scalable consolidation and reporting solutions using Board technology.
As a senior member of the team, you will combine deep functional expertise in group consolidation (IFRS/local GAAP, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, statutory reporting) with strong consulting capabilities. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, guide best practices, and contribute to the evolution of our Financial Consolidation CoE.
You will report directly to the CoE Director and collaborate closely with Product, Customer Success, Support and other consulting teams across regions.
Key Responsibilities:Client Delivery & Project Leadership- Lead end-to-end implementation projects focused on financial consolidation and statutory reporting.
- Translate customer business and regulatory requirements into solution designs and technical specifications.
- Design consolidation models including group structures, ownership hierarchies, intercompany eliminations, currency translation, minority interests, and journal workflows.
- Facilitate workshops with Finance stakeholders (CFOs, Group Controllers, Consolidation Managers).
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations.
Functional & Technical Expertise- Provide subject matter expertise in financial consolidation processes (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
- Advise customers on best practices for financial close, disclosure management, and governance.
- Configure and optimize Board consolidation applications to meet complex business requirements.
- Support integration with ERP and source systems.
Stakeholder Management- Build trusted relationships with senior Finance leaders.
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Present solution designs, project updates, and executive summaries with clarity and confidence.
Continuous Improvement & CoE Contribution- Contribute to methodology development, templates, and best practices within the Professional Services CoE.
- Mentor junior consultants and share knowledge across teams.
- Support pre-sales activities when required (solution demos, scoping, effort estimation).
Required Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial consolidation consulting or corporate group consolidation roles.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
- Proven experience with intercompany eliminations, multi-currency consolidation, and statutory reporting.
- Experience implementing EPM/CPM/consolidation software solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent in English (additional European languages are a plus).
- Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
Preferred Qualifications- Background in a Big Four or consulting environment.
- Experience with financial planning and performance management solutions.
- Project management certification or structured methodology experience.
- Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
