As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality platform capabilities while contributing to its evolution, ensuring Salesforce solutions are consistent, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
This role provides a strong foundation for progression into platform leadership, combining hands-on delivery with exposure to strategic platform thinking.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of Deloitte Canada’s Salesforce platform, supporting enterprise solutions that enable customer, sales, and service engagement.
You will operate in a 60% strategy / 40% hands-on delivery model, contributing to platform strategy, planning, and design while remaining hands-on in solution delivery and optimization.
You will work closely with platform managers, architects, and delivery teams to implement scalable solutions, drive reuse, and ensure adherence to Salesforce platform standards and guardrails.
This role is ideal for someone building toward platform leadership, combining strong technical depth with growing strategic capability.
Role Specific Responsibilities:
Platform Planning & Contribution
• Contribute to the Salesforce platform roadmap, including enhancements, upgrades, and technical debt reduction initiatives
• Support the development of platform standards, governance, and best practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Salesforce capabilities
• Assist in defining and evolving shared platform capabilities (object models, integrations, reusable services)
• Identify opportunities for reuse and consolidation across Salesforce implementations (e.g., shared flows, common objects)
• Support tracking of platform performance metrics and business outcomes
Delivery & Execution
• Design, configure, and implement Salesforce solutions (Flows, Apex, Lightning components)
• Support Agile delivery through user story creation, backlog refinement, and sprint execution
• Collaborate on integration design and implementation (API-driven and event-based patterns)
• Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize configurations, data models, and performance
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release activities, and environment management processes
• Work closely with QA and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery
Platform Enablement, Reuse & Standards
• Apply and promote Salesforce platform standards and guardrails (e.g., naming conventions, configuration vs. customization decisions)
• Contribute to development of reusable components (Lightning Web Components, Flow libraries, Apex utilities)
• Support creation of documentation, playbooks, and onboarding materials
• Assist in enabling delivery teams to adopt and extend platform capabilities effectively
Shared Services, Architecture & Guardrails
• Support shared Salesforce services such as identity, integrations, and data synchronization
• Contribute to ensuring solutions align with reference architectures and platform principles
• Implement solutions in line with security, compliance, and performance standards
• Participate in design reviews and contribute recommendations
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Build strong relationships and contribute to a team-oriented environment
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, and improvement areas
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively

The Deloitte Technology Canada (DTC) Platform Team is responsible for enabling enterprise platforms ensuring they are governed, scalable, and optimized for reuse and quality across the organization.
Platform teams are focused on “enabling at scale”, driving platform ownership, standards, guardrails, and shared capabilities that improve delivery efficiency and outcomes across the organization.
You are someone who has:
• 4+ years of experience working with Salesforce platform (e.g., Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or related ecosystem)
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration and development (Flows, Apex, Lightning components)
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, platform features, and integrations
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Ability to contribute to both technical delivery and platform-level thinking
• Strong interest in growing into platform strategy and leadership roles
Technical & Professional Skills:
• Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) required
• Additional certifications considered an asset (e.g., Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I/II, Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Consultant)
• Familiarity with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD practices (pipelines, environment strategies, release management)
• Understanding of integration patterns and API-based architectures
• Strong collaboration skills across business and technical teams
• Ability to work effectively with developers, architects, and QA teams
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
