We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Cost Engineer. This role is crucial for the successful delivery of our exciting Large-scale Mixed-Use Development project. The Senior Cost Engineer will play a vital role in ensuring effective cost control, budget monitoring, and overall financial management of the project.
- Cost Control & Budget Monitoring: Oversee and manage the project's cost control processes, ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
- Forecasting & Cost Reporting: Prepare and submit regular cost reports, providing accurate forecasts and financial updates to the project team.
- Variation Cost Evaluation: Analyze and assess variation orders, ensuring they are within the project's financial scope and budget.
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor and manage the project's cash flow, ensuring timely payments and financial stability.
- Commercial Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to align cost control strategies and ensure smooth project execution.
- Contracts Team Coordination: Work with the Contracts team to review and negotiate contracts, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Planning Team Coordination: Collaborate with the Planning team to integrate cost control measures into the project's overall planning and scheduling.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and assess financial risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on the project's budget.
- Value Engineering: Implement value engineering techniques to optimize costs without compromising project quality or scope.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management is mandatory.
- Specialization or extensive experience in Cost Control or Quantity Surveying is essential.
- Strong hands-on experience in cost management can be considered in lieu of formal specialization.
- PMP certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Cost Control or Estimation Courses are preferred, demonstrating a strong understanding of cost management principles.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is highly desirable for effective project planning and control.
- Experience in infrastructure projects, particularly in roads, utilities, networks, and earthworks, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with multi-package environments is a strong advantage, ensuring effective coordination and cost control across various project packages.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for evaluating complex cost data and making informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for effective collaboration with various project teams.
