Seeking a Senior Data Analyst based in Dubai, onsite, to turn data into actionable insights and safeguard data integrity while guiding stakeholders across the business. The role focuses on identifying trends, solving complex challenges with data driven methods, and mentoring junior team members, in close collaboration with data engineers and BI leads. You will deliver dashboards and alerts, standardize KPI definitions, and continuously improve data processes to drive measurable outcomes such as product optimization and better customer experiences. As a Senior Data Analyst at Deriv, you will gather, process, transform, and organize data into actionable insights. Your methodical and logical approach will be crucial to maintaining data integrity. You will identify data trends and inconsistencies that can impact our business goals. You will solve complex business challenges by using data-driven techniques. You will be in contact with different stakeholders and help to shape the company decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize data insights to achieve measurable outcomes, including optimizing product features, improving customer experience, and enabling operational process automation.
- Develop data models to cater for business analytics requirements while considering data privacy, data accessibility and data accuracy.
- Plays the role of the mentor for junior members of the team to uphold best data practices.
- Work collaboratively with data engineers and BI/Reporting Leads to fulfill business requirements ranging from data quality, data management to business intelligence and reporting.
- Provide reporting and analysis solutions in the form of dashboards or alerts, and present them to stakeholders.
- Align and standardize business terminologies across the company, to enable well defined data definition for KPI and metrics.
- Constantly evaluate team process and data solutions to achieve better efficiency aligning to company goals.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in the data analytics field.
- Advanced production SQL in BigQuery (window functions, complex joins, migration-aware deduplication, cross-brand schema consistency).
- Masters in Data science preferred
- Hands-on experience with Dataform/dbt for data modeling and Metabase (or similar) for BI/alerting.
- Mandatory AI adoption across their workflow.
