Sydney Water is seeking a Senior Development Consultant to join the Parramatta team in a full time onsite role with a competitive package around $125k per year plus super and a monthly RDO. You will own end to end case management for state significant health, education and transport infrastructure projects or land development, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve design issues, maintain high quality documentation, and provide timely, compliant advice. The role requires reading and interpreting plans, understanding funding arrangements and Infrastructure Contributions, and building strong relationships with SMEs throughout the design and construction process. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Urban Planning, Business or a related field, and demonstrate proven problem solving, communication and stakeholder management in a fast paced environment. About the Role

As a Senior Development Consultant, you will be responsible of end-to-end case management to ensure the seamless delivery of essential infrastructure and asset protection. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing comprehensive project coordination and support through our case management platform, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
• Maintaining case management documentation with a strong focus on quality control.
• Facilitating meetings with internal and external stakeholders to resolve design approval issues, helping developers stay on track with their project deadlines.
• Reviewing case documents and provide accurate advice to customer within corporate response times in compliance with Sydney Water’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders through the design and construction process to ensure quality assets to serve Sydney Water’s customers and meet developer’s program
• Develop and understanding of funding requirements and calculating and issuing Infrastructure Contributions with precision and accountability.  
• Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams and maps associated with property development.  

About You

We are looking for a proactive, solutions-driven professional with:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Urban Planning, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 
• Proven experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deliver results.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse options and provide strategic recommendations.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• The ability to assess and review key documents, including commercial deeds, designs, funding/procurement packages, and finalisation packages.
• Experience working in or knowledge infrastructure servicing types (water, wastewater, stormwater, recycled water) would be beneficial.
