Al Shirawi Group is looking for an experienced Senior Draughtsman skilled in producing architectural and interior shop drawings, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring drawings meet project requirements from design to completion. The role demands strong AutoCAD and construction drawing skills, the ability to work independently on small projects and with a team on larger ones, and close coordination with material engineers, joinery production, Operations, and site teams. Key duties include RFI/CVI management with 2D and 3D illustrations, file control, progress meetings, and supporting site execution. Experienced Senior Draughtsman skilled in preparing shop drawings, coordinating with different disciplines, and ensuring drawings meet project requirements. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and construction drawings, with the ability to support projects from design to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for producing architectural & I.D shop drawings independently for small projects and in collaboration with architectural technicians while working on large projects. 

• Responsible for coordination with material engineer of various materials while detailing shop drawings. 

• Responsible for coordinating with in house joinery production department while detailing any joinery elements to ensure workable & cost effective details are proposed in shop drawing. 

• Responsible for coordinating with the Operations team (Site engineers & Project Managers) to provide them with adequate drawings to carry out their site execution work 

• Maintain/organize project files, schedules, and specifications. Ensure all documentation & information received from the main contractor/ suppliers/client/authorities/consultants & subcontractors are all filed as per the Technical Department filing procedure. 

• Responsible for making site visit and assisting the construction & production teams with any technical issues. 

• Attend progress meetings internally and on site (if required) to ensure the technical drawings are produced effectively and approved within the contractual time. 

• To coordinate pre & post QS to ensure technical details. 

• Maintain and update RFI’s/CVI's & clarifications supported with 2D & 3D illustrations both using CAD & hand sketches 

• Handling any other design jobs as delegated by the HOD
