WSP in the Middle East is currently seeking a Senior Financial Business Analyst to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in project accounting and project finance. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing financial insights, supporting project performance, and driving strategic decision-making across our business.

As a Senior Financial Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, business planning, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with leadership, project directors, and the broader finance team to deliver data-driven insights, develop financial models, and provide strategic recommendations.

  • Act as a strategic partner to Project Leaders, providing expert financial guidance throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial prospecting to project closeout 
  • Support projects based in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and potentially other locations within the GCC, with occasional travel required 
  • Support the technical business in achieving strong commercial outcomes across the Middle East by providing financial and operational guidance. Ensure transparent performance, improved profitability, optimized working capital, and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with Business Unit Leaders on P&L, budgets, and forecasts to align with business goals. Oversee month-end revenue recognition and provide cost-to-complete support to Project Leaders for accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Participate in project reviews, highlight financial risks (e.g., EAC), and ensure timely actions. Manage Working Capital and DSO in line with company policies.
  • Deliver ad-hoc reports, approve sub-consultant invoices, and regularly coordinate with the GCC Resource Center in India.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related disciplin
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a commercial environment with a strong track record in project finance, bid management, or financial management, preferably in the infrastructure, construction, or consultancy sectors
  • Strong knowledge of the Middle East market, particularly in the engineering, construction, and consulting industries
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including complex data analysis and modeling), as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Hands-on experience with financial and project management systems such as Agresso and Oracle.
