A Day in the Life


The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible to support Manufacturing and NPD departments. This role will play a critical part in driving financial performance, cost control, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making across production and innovation activities. The position reports to the site finance lead, Switzerland.
  
 
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: 
•    Serve as a finance partner to Manufacturing, OPEX, and NPD management teams, acting as a bridge across organizations.
•    Collaborate closely with the OPEX team to identify and accelerate cost-saving opportunities across multiple workstreams.
•    Act as the site finance lead deputy.
•    Support the Tier 3 management level and participate in weekly gemba walks.
•    Partner with team members to develop and evaluate business cases supporting Capital investment opportunities.
•    Develop ad hoc reports to support analyses. Work on special requests, projects, and financial presentations for management as required
•    Partner effectively with COEs, cross-functional teams, and global stakeholders to align finance support with business objectives.
 
 
Required Knowledge and Experience:
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, with exposure to manufacturing finance and R&D environments, or experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
 •    Strong understanding of standard cost accounting and FP&A.
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, complex environment.
•    Familiarity with programmatic cost-saving initiatives in industrial or technology sectors.
•    Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
