Canva is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer in Performance Monitoring to design lightweight SDKs, dashboards, and CI checks that surface LCP, INP and CLS, embed OpenTelemetry, and scale data pipelines ingesting billions of events daily. You will partner with platform and infrastructure teams to ship reusable libraries and tools, launch no-merge-if-slower checks, and lead end-to-end investigations with Chrome DevTools and Lighthouse to eliminate bottlenecks. The ideal candidate has JavaScript frontend expertise with React and TypeScript, is comfortable with Node and modern CI/CD, and brings a data-driven mindset with strong storytelling for diverse stakeholders. Tip: highlight measurable performance wins, cross-team influence, and any observability or RUM work, and note willingness to work onsite in Sydney.
