Our Prosthetics team has brought countless characters to life, and now we’re gearing up for what’s next. We’re looking for passionate creatives makers ready to join us for our next generation of exciting projects.

We have some exciting projects coming up, and are looking for three Senior Hair Technicians to join the team for a 6 month fixed-term contract, delivering complex prosthetic builds to a high creative and technical standard:

  • Executing advanced fabrication tasks such as high-detail finishing, hair punching/knotting/blending, fur transferring or wig assembly. 
  • Delivering work to specification, on time, and within defined budget constraints 
  • Interpret creative and technical briefs with minimal supervision. 
  • Solving technical challenges using deep material understanding and practical reasoning. 
  • Guiding Junior Technicians on basic and intermediate techniques. 

We’re looking for a very experienced (10 years plus in prosthetics, hair work or comparable fabrication) person who can bring:

  • Strong time management and task planning capabilities. 
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to inspire and develop others. 
  • The ability to read, interpret, and execute from technical drawings and creative briefs
  • Strong time-management and task planning capabilities 
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.  
  • The ability to give and receive constructive feedback professionally. 
  • Interest in evolving techniques, materials, and technologies relevant to the craft. 

You’ll be a strong communicator and be able to collaborate well with others – and have a great eye for detail.

Additional Information

  • These roles are fixed term, for 6 months (based on our expected timelines for our upcoming projects) and are Wellington-based (Miramar).
  • The pay rate for these roles is $36 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.
  • These roles are full-time (42.5 hours per week)
