The key objectives for this role are:

Leading complex HVAC project design from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, providing technical guidance to junior staff, and promoting energy efficiency and innovation in HVAC systems to meet client needs and project goals

  • General Responsibility; Performing HVAC engineering activities for projects
  • Coordinating with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables
  • Performing HVAC heat load Calculation with HAP software
  • Preparing Data sheet & Material Requisition for DX units, Chiller units, PACU, Split A/C, Ductworks and accessories Data sheet, Ventilation Fans Data sheet, etc.
  • Preparing HVAC Schematic air flow and control Diagrams, HVAC duct layout, HVAC Equipment Schedule, HVAC MTO, HVAC Scope of Work, HVAC Adequacy etc.
  • Performs sizing of HVAC equipment to the degree necessary for the stage of project
  • Surveying sites ahead of fitting heating, ventilation or air conditioning systems 
  • Planning the placement of pipework, ducts, and control panels 
  • Review of Vendor document
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Installing HVAC components 
  • Performing quality checks to ensure systems are working efficiently and safely 
  • Carrying out maintenance on HVAC systems 
  • Finding and fixing faults 
  • Helping customers to reduce their energy use

Expected:

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry in FEED and EPC phases
  • Knowledge of ASHRAE, International Design Codes & Standards and Industry accepted for HVAC Design
  • Familiar with ADNOC AGES,  SMACNA, ISO, NFPA standards
  • Experience of coordination activities within a multi-disciplinary environment and vendors
  • Sound technical, construction and specification knowledge of HVAC / Building Services equipment, and systems
  • Experience of client / industry standards in the Oil and Gas sector
