The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking an experienced Senior Integration Analyst Developer to join the Research and Innovation Division.

In this role you will design, build and maintain integration solutions that enable secure, reliable and efficient data exchange across University systems. Working with the Director of Operations and in alignment with the Data Office, you will develop scalable and maintainable integration services that meet business requirements, architectural standards and governance expectations.

You will play a key role in strengthening the University’s integration capability by designing, developing and supporting secure, reliable integration services and APIs. Working closely with data engineers, platform teams and business stakeholders, you will resolve complex integration challenges, implement monitoring and automation practices, drive quality and performance improvements, contribute to integration standards and architecture, and provide expert advice that supports the University’s strategic data initiatives.

  • Deliver secure, reliable and scalable integration services and APIs that meet business and operational needs. 
  • Resolve complex integration issues and optimise performance across multiple systems and environments. 
  • Ensure integration solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, governance and data strategy requirements.
  • Implement effective monitoring, testing and quality assurance practices to support stable service delivery. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to deliver practical integration solutions while maintaining accurate technical documentation and data flows.

About You
You’re an experienced integration specialist who brings strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset and a commitment to building secure, reliable and future-ready solutions.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification (preferably post graduate) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in developing and supporting integration services or APIs in a complex environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, including pipeline design, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Proficiency in integration technologies, frameworks, and tools (e.g., REST, SOAP, ESB, ETL).
  • Experience with cloud-based integration platforms and middleware.
  • Strong understanding of data formats and transformation (e.g., JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Commitment to quality, security, and governance in all deliverables.
