Merck Group is seeking a Senior Laboratory Technician, Customs Immunology, in Rockville, MD, full time onsite. The role supports assay development and commercial services in the biosafety testing space, upholding scientific integrity, maintaining detailed documentation, and ensuring cGMP and GLP compliance. You will lead lab technicians, back up the lab supervisor, manage reagents and inventory, process samples, and ensure the facility remains clean and safe. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree with 1+ year of lab experience or a high school diploma with 2+ years; preferred GMP exposure, basic computer skills, strong written and verbal communication, and math proficiency. Pay ranges from $24 to $37 per hour plus benefits. As a Senior Lab Technician – Customs Immunology, our activities will support assay development through commercial application of new and innovative service offerings within the biosafety testing space. You are responsible for the scientific integrity of technical work performed in the laboratory, and are required to make scientific observations, maintain detailed workbooks/documentation and ensure all documentation fulfills generally accepted professional/industry standards. Requirements also include maintaining a thorough understanding of company testing services, technical principles and applications as they apply to your position.

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
