Job Description
- Conduct land, boundary, topographic, and control surveys using Total stations, GPS, levels, and other advanced equipment.
- Establish and verify horizontal and vertical control points, benchmarks, and reference grids.
- Prepare and maintain detailed survey reports, sketches, drawings, and maps.
- Analyze field data, verify measurements, and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate survey findings with civil engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
- Support setting out and layout works for construction sites, ensuring conformity to design plans.
- Monitor subcontractor survey work and support QA/QC processes.
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment; apply safety and quality procedures on site.
- Update and manage geospatial data using relevant software (GIS, Civil 3D, AutoCAD).
- Assist in legal boundary determinations and prepare legal descriptions when required.
- Coordinate with Consultant for handing over works and site work approvals for all surveying related activities.
- Assist in preparing As-Built drawings during handing over stages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
- Professional surveyor certification/license is preferred.
- Proven experience in land surveying, preferably within civil construction or infrastructure.
- Proficient with survey instruments (Total Station, GPS), and relevant software (AutoCAD, GIS, Civil 3D).
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communication skills; ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
