Position Overview:
The Lead Consultant plays a critical role in driving client projects by aligning with Client Product Owners and SMEs to understand and translate business requirements into effective payroll solutions. This role focuses on designing, building, and validating client requirements, executing thorough testing using client data, and resolving issues throughout the implementation lifecycle. The Lead Consultant also mentors team members and contributes to knowledge sharing across the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead client solution implementation using ADP’s Implementation Methodology and payroll engine technologies.
• Facilitate blueprinting workshops to gather detailed client requirements.
• Design and document client solutions, including business requirements and technical specifications, following ADP’s documentation standards.
• Collaborate with clients during data cleansing, mapping, and conversion phases, providing support and reconciliation assistance.
• Support clients through User Acceptance Testing, Parallel Testing, and Go-Live phases to ensure successful deployment.
• Identify and resolve gaps between client requirements and ADP’s payroll templates, working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews on blueprints and system configurations.
• Manage project-level risks proactively.
• Lead team forums and participate in knowledge sharing and development sessions.
• Mentor and support team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Provide training and knowledge sharing opportunities, from informal coaching to formal technical sessions.
• Liaise with Project Managers and Line Managers to provide status updates and escalate issues as needed.
• Support pre-sales activities, including technical documentation review, demonstrations, and workshops requiring payroll expertise.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to provide feedback on payroll templates and understand future product directions.
• Assist in designing non-standard changes to payroll templates as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical understanding of payroll engines and payroll processing systems.
• Extensive local payroll and functional expertise in one or more countries, with deep knowledge of local payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience configuring and consulting on payroll solutions across multiple countries is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
• Solid functional knowledge of payroll processes and blueprinting methodologies.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and map them effectively to payroll engine capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
• Client-focused mindset with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
• Willingness to travel 10%-25% as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading multi-country payroll implementations.
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to manage client expectations professionally.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to achieving business goals.
• Knowledge of payroll, human resources, time management, or portal systems beyond SAP.
• Familiarity with implementation best practices and methodologies.
