Job Description

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic and commercial initiatives across Global Sales & Distribution, driving revenue growth, cost efficiencies, and long-term business value.
  • Provide strategic leadership and stakeholder oversight across Sales & Distribution, partnering with senior leaders to deliver complex, business-wide initiatives and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead the ongoing enhancement of our Corporate and Agency Dealing frameworks as well as strategic engagement with key Airline partners
  • Full-time permanent role based at our Mascot Campus

The Senior Manager, Commercial Development plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the strategic agenda across Global Sales & Distribution (S&D). Leading a team responsible for Strategic & Commercial Planning and Corporate & Agency Dealing, this role drives initiatives that support revenue growth, commercial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term business success.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies across S&D, overseeing commercial dealing frameworks and performance analysis, and partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver business-wide initiatives. The role provides strategic leadership, ensuring alignment between S&D priorities and broader Group objectives while driving measurable outcomes through strong planning, governance, and execution.

As a key people leader, the Senior Manager sets direction, builds team capability, and fosters collaboration across functions including Revenue Management, Loyalty, Marketing, Legal, and Communications. The role is responsible for influencing and facilitating strategic decisions, ensuring successful implementation of initiatives, and maintaining a focus on delivering sustainable value, cost efficiencies, and incremental revenue opportunities.

You'll have:

  • 5–10 years' experience in strategy, commercial development, consulting, or a related commercial leadership role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing successful commercial and business strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance strategic, financial, operational, and technology considerations.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including Executive Management and leadership teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to present complex information to senior audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience driving outcomes across multiple business functions.
  • Proven people leadership capability, including leading, coaching, developing, and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, navigate competing priorities, and achieve outcomes under tight deadlines.
