Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Manager Enterprise Assurance, reporting to the Executive Manager, Group Risk & Assurance.
A bit about your role
As the Senior Manager Enterprise Assurance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how nbn navigates uncertainty and manages complex risks. You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive assurance plan that supports the uplift of control maturity across the organisation, helping business units adapt and thrive through strategic change.
This role is deeply collaborative, requiring you to influence stakeholders across diverse teams many of which are at different stages of assurance maturity. You will build a community of assurance contributors, mentor and train team members, and guide business units in developing tailored assurance programs. Your work will be instrumental in driving execution, monitoring progress, and delivering meaningful reporting to senior leadership, including executive committees and the board. You will also contribute to digitisation initiatives, helping to innovate how assurance is delivered and reported across the business.
A bit about you
The successful candidate will bring a strong background in internal audit, corporate governance or risk assurance. You are collaborative and have a genuine desire to help business units improve, not just comply. Your ability to build relationships and tailor support to varying levels of assurance maturity sets you apart.
You thrive in environments where structure is evolving and are confident designing new processes from the ground up. Your communication skills are strong, and you are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. You’re curious about technology and open to exploring innovative ways to enhance reporting and data management.
