Role Purpose 

Senior Manager - HRBP, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of people operations, ensuring compliance with workplace regulations, fostering positive employee relations, and effectively managing employee grievances and conduct. This role drives the seamless execution of HR processes from induction and onboarding to rewards management, aligning all activities with organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities 

  • People Operations & Workplace Regulations:
    • Lead the effective implementation and management of all employee lifecycle activities within People Operations, from induction, onboarding, to offboarding.
    • Ensure strict adherence to all workplace regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards across all HR activities.
    • Analyse HR operational inefficiencies within people processes (e.g., onboarding, probation, offboarding) and design streamlined, effective solutions.
    • Interpret and apply complex labour laws and regulations to ensure HR practices and policies mitigate risk and maintain compliance.
    • Report on key HR metrics related to employee relations, compliance, and operational efficiency to senior leadership.
    • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analytics for reporting and decision-making.
    • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to identify trends and inform retention strategies.
    • Manage outsourced staff for the organization, ensuring their compliance with company policies and performance standards.
  • Employee Grievances & Conduct Management:
    • Manage and resolve employee grievances and disciplinary cases in a fair, consistent, and timely manner, minimizing legal exposure and reputational risk.
    • Diagnose complex employee relations issues, grievances, and conduct matters, developing and implementing effective, legally compliant solutions.
    • Resolve conflicts and mediate disputes between employees and management, fostering a fair and productive work environment.
    • Develop and implement proactive strategies for employee conduct management, promoting accountability and adherence to company values.
  •  Induction & Onboarding:
    • Oversee the effective execution of induction and onboarding programs, ensuring a positive and productive start for new hires.
  • Leave Management:
    • Manage leave verification, approvals from the vertical side, and address absenteeism issues. 
    • Coordinate with the HR Group Services team to resolve benefits-related issues and escalations. 
  • Employee Relations & Engagement:
    • Drive initiatives to enhance employee relations and engagement, fostering a harmonious and productive work environment.
    • Develop innovative approaches to enhance employee engagement and manage conduct, contributing to a positive organizational culture. 
    • Manage employee data-related complaints and ensure system data is updated accurately as per actuals.
    • Develop and implement employee retention strategies to minimize turnover and preserve institutional knowledge.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM, HRCI and CIPD certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in an HR Business Partner or senior operational HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE labour laws, workplace regulations, and best practices in employee relations, grievance management, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Strong understanding of HR operations, including induction, onboarding, and rewards management processes.
  • Proven expertise in conflict resolution, mediation, and managing sensitive employee conduct issues.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport at all levels.
