About the role:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of all mechanical components for the design of a number of Built Environment projects across the Unit.

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Preparation of mechanical design components including air distribution, HVAC and piping systems and any other specialty mechanical systems
  • Review conducting primary technical reviews on design deliverables related to electrical equipment/system design and calculations
  • Development of concept studies for the project detailing types of systems, cost implications and alternatives available
  • Coordinate with all disciplines and external stakeholders to ensure the layout of MEP services are feasible
  • Provide technical input to consultants as and when required
  • Ensure the development of required documentation for the review process in order to include comments, recommendations and corrective action plans for the prime contractor as appropriate

Candidate specifications:

  • Degree (BEng/BSc/BE) in Mechanical engineering from an accredited university; membership (or working towards) to a professional institution
  • Demonstrable experience of working on building mechanical components including HVAC, piping systems etc
  • Awareness of Autodesk Revit and BIM would be advantageous
  • Demonstrable experience of coordinating with other disciplines and multiple stakeholders across geographies
  • Ability to present design scheme and discuss design issues with clients, architects and other stakeholders
  • Continuously looking for innovations and improvements to manage workload and accomplish deliverables across individuals, teams and projects
  • Using leadership skills to build and nurture relationships and also creating effective working environments
  • Able to manage multiple teams with diverse backgrounds on geographically and culturally diverse teams
