The Senior Officer – Asset Management is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control, secure storage, and efficient warehouse operations across ADAC-managed aviation facilities. The role oversees the custody, preservation, optimization, and disposal of warehouse-held assets, project materials, and scrap items, ensuring full compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the asset lifecycle.

The position provides operational leadership within warehouse and stores functions, supports cost-effective logistics operations, ensures safety excellence, and works closely with internal stakeholders to meet operational and service delivery requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the identification, segregation, storage, documentation, and disposal of scrap, obsolete, surplus, and damaged materials.
  • Ensure scrap handling and disposal activities comply with organizational policies, audit requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate scrap valuation, approvals, and disposal processes (sale, recycling, or destruction) with Finance, Procurement, and Compliance teams.
  • Maintain accurate scrap registers and prepare periodic reports for management and audit purposes.
  • Manage and administer “Sale of Scrap” tenders at warehouse facilities.
  • Supervise warehouse facilities, staff, and materials to meet the operational requirements of all aviation facilities under ADAC management.
  • Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted in a professional, efficient, safe, and cost-effective manner.
  • Provide leadership by setting clear expectations, motivating staff, and promoting high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior.
  • Ensure the security, custody, and preservation of all materials and assets stored in warehouse facilities, including project and temporary storage items.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and available space to meet long-term storage and operational requirements.
  • Assist the Logistics Manager in developing operational strategies and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize cost efficiency and service effectiveness.
  • Establish effective coordination and interfaces between warehouse operations and end-user departments to support joint operational requirements.
  • Provide logistical support services to departments, including material collection and distribution, office relocations, manpower support, and temporary storage.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Controllers and end-users to identify and scrap non-moving or slow-moving inventory to reduce excess stock levels.
  • Monitor, measure, and evaluate staff performance against KPIs and recommend improvement actions where applicable.
  • Identify training and development needs for staff and recommend appropriate training programs, including safety, materials handling, hazardous materials, First Aid, and firefighting.
  • Conduct and participate in regular safety drills and exercises in coordination with the Safety department.
  • Support the execution of change management initiatives within the department.
  • Proactively pursue professional development opportunities in line with AD Airports’ values.
  • Participate in performance appraisals and act on feedback provided by the line manager.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Line Manager to support divisional objectives.

 

Requirements and Skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in storekeeping, warehousing, asset management, or related functions.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, tools, and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety systems, First Aid, and emergency response procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
