Australia Post is hiring a permanent Senior Postal Delivery Officer at Strathfield with shifts from 5am or 6am and overtime. The role delivers mail and parcels across rounds using motorcycles, a 3-Wheeled Electric vehicle or on foot, backed by Rider Mentors. You’ll start in Strathfield and finish in Rydalmere, with a rate of $42.41 an hour plus 12% super. - Monday to Friday 5am - 1:30pm or 6am - 2:30pm shifts with regular overtime opportunities (Overtime penalties + Meal Allowance)
- $42.41 per hour plus 12% Superannuation
- We supply and maintain the vehicles!
- Must have STRONG delivery experience
- All PPE provided plus your own Mentor to train you

As a Senior Postie, you’ll hit the ground running and be operating and delivering on multiple vehicles including our 3-Wheeled Electric Delivery Vehicles, Motorcycle or delivering on foot utilising a backpack or wheeled trolley.
You'll be
- Starting your day early in the morning sorting both mail and small parcels.
- Responsible to cover and deliver to multiple rounds within a territory and no two days are alike!
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check.
- Loading your vehicle with your deliveries for the day.
- Delivering outdoors in all types of weather to deliver to homes and businesses.
- Paired up with our experienced Rider Mentors, who are committed to engage and take part in your professional development.
About you
- You hold a full or probationary motorcycle licence.
- Experience and/or knowledge working within the courier/delivery industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- You’re resilient and able to adapt to high volume and pressure.
- You’re flexible with working additional hours if required.
- You’ll successfully pass our mandatory and practical riding assessment.
- You have a great memory, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly.
- You’ll need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 100kgs or less.
