Role       : Senior Procurement Officer - Marketing  
Location : Abu Dhabi                         

Role Purpose:
 Lead sourcing and procurement activities for Marketing department in line with banking policies, governance standards, and as instructed by category manager.
    
Key Accountabilities of the role      
Responsibilities:

  • Managed end-to-end procurement sourcing activities for Marketing department (including Media creation agencies, events, printing promotion items, Giveaways and digital marketing services) ensuring commercial discipline and regulatory compliance
  • Execute procurement operations through SAP Ariba, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and process efficiency across the procurement lifecycle.
  • Managed local and global vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, cost efficiency, quality standard, and timely delivery of goods and services. 

  • Conduct supplier evaluations, including capability assessments and pricing analysis, to support effective sourcing decisions and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Develop and maintain a robust supplier base with qualified and alternate vendors; monitor supplier performance through structured scorecards and performance reviews.

  • Analyzed spend and inventory trends to identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining audit readiness
  • Controlled end‑to‑end procurement processes, including budget reviews, cost estimates, and scope/specification validation.
  • Lead technical and commercial evaluations of the bids and ensure timely issuance of purchase order aligned with approved sourcing strategies. 
  • Coordinate with Legal to establish standard contracts for goods and services.
  • Develop and improve standard Terms & Conditions for RFI, RFQ, and RFP.
  • Managed pre‑ and post‑contract negotiations, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes and alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement structured tender processes, including defining evaluation criteria, developing technical scoring and ensuring transparency in bid evaluations.  
  • Lead negotiation and clarification stages and prepared award recommendations.
  • Manage supplier relationships through effective communication  
  • Stakeholders’ relationship management (reporting, conflict resolution. Strategic solution, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to plan, streamline and enhance process workflow to ensure value delivery for ADIB.
     

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain 
  • Business English – Verbal and Written skills
  • MS. Office 
  • Communication skills.
  • Strong people management skills, including role allocation, motivation, performance monitoring, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Proven problem‑solving and conflict management capabilities. 
  • High level of internal customer focus with effective stakeholder and customer engagement skills. 
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities. 
  • Solid expertise in planning, creative, and production management, with working knowledge of digital marketing communications including online media planning, SEO, and social media managed services.

  • Clear understanding of ESG compliance and regulatory requirements within marketing and communications in the banking sector.
