Job Description

The team

The Design Team at SEEK is made up of 60+ professionals including UX and Product design, Visual design, Research, Design Systems, Specialisms and Operations. We are distributed primarily across Australia, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. As a member of this large, mature, and growing community, the Senior Product Designer will join the Candidate Discovery subdomain and will have support from a wide range of design professionals, including our Design Ops and Research Ops teams. This is a great opportunity to join a leading multi-national design team within an organisation that appreciates the value of design.

About the role 

The role reports into the Design Lead responsible for candidate job discovery experiences across APAC. They will work within a cross-functional squad focused on personalized and first-time experiences on our web and app platforms. Day-to-day they will collaborate with a geographically distributed team of product managers, engineers, analysts, and delivery experts to create value for job seekers. They will be solving design problems ‘at scale’ for our global platforms, spanning 8 countries across Asia-Pacific.

The Senior Product Designer is a specialist practitioner who operates autonomously within their assigned squad, collaborating across disciplines to drive product outcomes and advance design practice. They create innovative, user-centred solutions through expertise in UX/UI design, user research and insights, GenAI-assisted design outputs, prototyping, and close partnership with development teams.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead end-to-end UX across the program, from research and ideation to delivery.
  • Advocate for users by conducting research and turning insights into action.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape effective solutions.
  • Define success metrics, measure outcomes, and iterate based on learnings.
  • Contribute to domain vision, design practice, and the evolution of the Design System.
  • Facilitate a collaborative and transparent design process within the team
  • Communicate insights, issues, and solutions effectively to the squad and stakeholders

Qualifications

Skills and experience 

  • 8 years or more working in digital product or user experience design, delivering web and app experiences.
  • Strong expertise in user research and proven ability to translate customer insights and complex data into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
  • Experience in experience mapping, interaction design, Design Thinking, and workshop facilitation.
  • Experience working in agile teams and using wireframing and prototyping tools to communicate design concepts.
  • Experience with GenAI, design systems, and visual design, with strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
