The Product Management team drives our strategy and roadmap through a solid understanding of our customers’ problems and needs, developing solutions that provide demonstrable customer value, delight end users and ensure customer success. We're looking for an outstanding Senior Product Manager to join our team in the Wellington or Palmerston North office. In this role, you'll be driving the product line strategy and roadmap through strong understanding of our customers’ problems and needs, developing solutions that provide demonstrable customer value, delight end users and ensure customer success, and help drive and grow the business. This role has people management responsibilities and reports to the Global VP Planning and Building Solutions. 

A day in your role:

  • Owns product strategy and annual roadmap– including compilation of market and competitor dynamics, sales performance and financial data, ROI analysis against market opportunity and coordinating road mapping activities that inform driving initiatives.  
  • Drive the product strategy and roadmap based on a detailed understanding of the vision, priorities, and requirements.
  • As part of the product team for planning and building solutions you will provide input into setting the product strategies.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and act as an internal expert on competitive products, market, and technology trends.
  • Provide insight into regulatory frameworks that Local Government operate within.
  • Evaluate product opportunities, define , and communicate the product vision to achieve company objectives. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of market problems and the existing customer base and pipeline for Objective’s planning and building solutions.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Design teams to deliver outstanding products. Clearly define phased product releases and sprint deliverables.

  • Ability to define products for enterprise and SaaS delivery with a strong focus on delighting end-users.
  • Deep understanding of the regulatory processes across Local Government.
  • Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and remove ambiguity for the Product Development teams.
  • Ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines, making intelligent and informed trade-offs while displaying initiative and flexibility.
