What You’ll Tackle As A Senior Project Manager In Townsville
In this role you’ll steer large multi-disciplinary teams through the delivery of complex programmes, guiding them from initial concepts to practical completion and client acceptance. You’ll build relationships, solve problems and push projects toward successful outcomes, while actively shaping the design process to meet the client’s requirements and manage expectations. You’ll be responsible for assembling and maintaining project management plans, schedules and budgets, and for ensuring that key deliverables are clearly defined and tracked. You’ll regularly review plans and specifications, monitor scheduling and costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities and potential construction issues before they arise. You’ll keep project timelines on track, manage risks and provide clear, timely reporting, while also handling internal administration such as invoicing, variations, subconsultant management and contract risk to protect the client and the project margins.
Ideal Candidate Profile For This Senior Project Manager Role
Must-have qualifications include a recognised degree in engineering, construction management, project management or architecture; experience delivering projects in government, hospitals/health, commercial or education sectors; a proven track record of handling highly complex and technical projects; the ability to perform well under pressure in demanding environments; advanced Microsoft skills are essential, with Primavera experience highly regarded; excellent written and spoken English, including strong report and bid writing abilities; and leadership capability to guide and develop a team while staying focused on delivering for clients.
