About the role

GHD is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Manager – Design Management to join our Abu Dhabi team, leading the design delivery of complex projects within the infrastructure and master planning sector. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage the design process across Infrastructure and master planning projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and regulatory standards. 
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and external consultants to deliver high-quality, timely outputs. 
• Oversee design reviews, approvals, and compliance with local authority requirements (e.g., ADM, ADWEA). 
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and change control processes. 
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including clients, contractors, and government entities. 
• Support pre-contract and post-contract phases, including technical evaluations and tender documentation. 

 Qualifications & Experience 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in design management for Infrastructure and masterplanning preferably in the UAE or GCC region. 
• Proven track record in managing design for high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, or institutional buildings. 
• Strong understanding of local authority processes and permitting requirements. 
• PMP certification or equivalent is preferred. 
• Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
