We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major data centre project in Europe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the commercial management of the project, taking ownership of cost control, subcontractor management, and client engagement.

As a senior member of the commercial team, you will lead on procurement, oversee multiple complex subcontract packages, and provide strategic commercial guidance to ensure project success. This is a key leadership role, requiring strong technical, financial, and people management skills.

Requirements

  • Responsible for measuring work packages from drawings and applying rates to work up package pricing
  • Manage the project budget as directed by the Project Director
  • Manage relevant client communications
  • Compile monthly reports in accordance with procedure
  • Attend monthly commercial and subcontractor meetings
  • Resolve client/subcontractor disputes effectively
  • Timely submission of claims/notices in accordance with contract provisions
  • Document cost changes to the work scopes and prepare monthly valuations and final accounts

 

Skills, qualification & experience:

  • 8+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and analytically proficient
  • Data Centre experience is advantageous
