About the Role:

Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Resident Engineer for the construction supervision works for a large housing scheme to be developed in Dubai.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

• Assist the Project Director with project management whilst leading and covering all engineering disciplines across the project’s requirements, during design and supervision
• Direct the supervision, coordination, compliance of all works including land development, site improvements and Highrise Buildings construction
• Monitor progress of the project against the agreed schedule 
• Check the Contractor’s submission and respond to their request for information
• Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractor’s safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required
• Actively monitor the implementation of contractor’s quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports, as and when required
• Responding for maintaining and enhancing Mott MacDonald’s reputation with the client and developing long term relationships
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to update the client on progress

Candidate Specification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or any relevant engineering discipline) from an accredited university
• Demonstrable experience of working on the Highrise Buildings projects including site improvements on large construction projects with experience in the UAE and in a similar capacity.
• Experience must include all Health and Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction and operations.
