SCOR Investment Partners is hiring a Senior Sales Manager for Switzerland to grow the institutional client base in German-speaking Switzerland, with DACH scope, reporting to the Co-Head of Sales. Based in Zurich, you will build SCOR IP’s brand, promote investment solutions to Swiss clients, tailor vehicles to local regulations, manage RFPS with Marketing, onboard new clients with Client Service, and nurture relationships with local consultants while feeding competitive intelligence back to the team. Expect frequent travel and participate in market events. Part of the Business Development department of SCOR Investment Partners (SCOR IP) and reporting to the co-Head of Sales, the Senior Sales Manager - Switzerland is responsible for leading the extension of SCOR IP’s institutional client base across the institutional market in the German-speaking Switzerland with a possible extension of these responsibilities across DACH. Switzerland is a core market for SCOR IP and is critical to the long-term development of SCOR IP’s third-party asset management franchise.
 

Department

SCOR Investmnt Partners is the SCOR group's asset management structure, regulated by the AMF.  The firm is headquatered in Paris and has offices in London and Zurich. 

The Business Development Department is responsible for promoting and marketing investment products and solutions to institutional clients globally. The business is accelerating their growth across key markets in Europe.

The current Head of Business Development holds a seat on the firm’s executive committee while the prior Head is now the CEO (Louis Bourrousse) reflecting the importance of the department within the broader asset management business. 

Reporting to the Co-Head of Sales (Head of UK, Northern Europe, DACH), you will have the following responsibilities:

  • leading the development of SCOR IP’s brand and customer base in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
  • promoting the product offering of SCOR IP to institutional clients in Switzerland, with a focus on German-speaking clients and prospects, and proposing adaptation of investment vehicules to meet local regulations
  • monitoring of RFPs and, when appropriate, preparation of SCOR IP's replies to clients' / prospects' requests in cooperation with the Marketing department
  • onboarding of new clients in cooperation with the Client Service department
  • sharing feedback regarding the competition and SCOR IP’s offering in the area
  • develop relationships with local consultants and work closely with the Global Consultant relationship manager

 

Based in Zurich, in charge of sales, the Senior Sales Manager will be working in collaboration with the rest of the sales team and the investment teams. He/she will contribute to the region’s growth strategy to address:

  • identification of targets and relevant products,
  • extending reach and monetising existing relationships within the targeted region

sharing feedback regarding the competition and SCOR IP’s offering in the area.He/she will achieve the goals set, both quantitatively and qualitatively and will report on the sales activity using the various tools used by SCOR IP.

She/He will be one of the key representatives for SCOR IP in the nominated region and will travel on a frequent basis and participate in market events.

 

Member of the following committees: e.g. Audit committee, Investment Committee etc...

 

Active participation in the Weekly sales Committee.

Experience: 

 

  • Proven successful experience in an investment company at least 10 years in Sales (of which at least 5 years in the target market)
  • A strong appetite to promote technical investment products to institutional clients in Switzerland

 

Technical Competencies:

  • Must have English fluency, French is favourable
  • Ideally local, with international experience
  • High level of technical expertise
  • Key understanding of nuances of Swiss regulated pensions market
  • Well networked.
