With its activities growing globally, ValidMind is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect/Sales Engineer to lead the technical aspects of the sales process, focusing on model risk management solutions for financial services organizations. In this role, you will bridge technical expertise with strategic client engagement to design tailored solutions that address complex model governance challenges. You will collaborate cross-functionally to bring new features and enhancements to life, ensuring alignment with customer needs and regulatory frameworks.
What You’ll Be Doing & Your Impact:
- Lead the technical aspect of the sales process, engaging with prospects to identify their AI & model governance challenges and compliance goals.
- Design and present technical solutions tailored to customer requirements, showcasing ValidMind's capabilities in model lifecycle management and regulatory alignment.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and marketing teams to align product roadmaps with client needs and industry trends.
- Provide strategic guidance to prospects on model risk management, validation workflows, and regulatory compliance strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on model development, validation, and governance to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver compelling demonstrations, proofs of concept, and technical presentations to prospects and clients.
- Act as a thought leader in the industry by contributing to whitepapers, webinars, and industry events on model risk management and AI compliance.
- Provide ongoing post sale support to customers, serving as a trusted advisor on implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and evolving AI governance requirements to ensure long term success and adoption.
Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified
- 5+ years of experience in AI governance, model risk, or technical consulting supporting modeling platforms, with direct exposure to model development, validation, and lifecycle controls.
- Proven ability to translate regulatory and risk requirements into scalable technical solutions, partnering closely with product, engineering, risk, and compliance teams to influence roadmap and architecture decisions.
- Experience driving the technical sales process, including leading discovery, solution design, proof of concepts, and RFP or RFI responses. Comfortable serving as the technical lead in enterprise sales cycles and supporting account executives through close.
- Experience engaging senior stakeholders, including risk leaders, model owners, and executives, with the ability to clearly explain complex AI governance concepts in practical terms.
- Background in financial services or other regulated industries where AI and model oversight, controls, and governance are mission critical.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements or internal initiatives in a fast moving environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands on execution.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with model and AI governance tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
- Hands on experience designing or implementing AI or model governance frameworks, including inventory, documentation, validation workflows, monitoring, and audit readiness.
- A track record of influencing product roadmaps and driving client satisfaction through innovative solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory and supervisory expectations such as SR 11-7, SS 1/23, NIST AI RMF, and emerging global AI regulations.
