Senior Technician, Molding at Wētā Workshop is a 4-6 month fixed-term role in Wellington, designing, fabricating and maintaining complex molds for props, prosthetics and creatures with silicone, urethane, fiberglass and composites, mentoring juniors and partnering with sculpt, casting and production teams to meet deadlines. Requires at least 5 years in mold making for film, TV or themed entertainment, strong materials knowledge and safe practices, and ideally leadership experience. Pay is $38-$42 per hour, full-time hours, relocation support. Applications close 14 March 2026 and must include an online portfolio. We have some exciting projects on the horizon, and we’re looking for three Senior Technician/s – Molding to join the team for a 4-6 month contract (depending on the project timelines).
