Mashreq is seeking a UAE National Senior Trade Analyst, onsite in the UAE, to lead due diligence and transaction control under Open Account Trade, covering all related products and driving digitization across the Middle Office. You will coordinate with Trade Sales, Relationship Managers, Operations and clients to ensure timely due diligence, debtor additions, and digital storage while maintaining service levels and compliance. Ideal candidates have 4 to 6 years in trade finance or Open Account Trade, with MBA/CA/CFA preferred and relevant certifications (FCI/FDA). Job Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to independently manage due diligence and transaction control activities under Open Account Trade, a critical function in ensuring robust deal-level diligence, transaction validation, and ongoing monitoring to support sustainable portfolio growth across Mashreq network.
This role covers all Open Account Trade products and also supporting broader Middle Office responsibilities including stakeholder coordination, and resolution of day-to-day operational and risk-related matters.
This role should will be responsible to lead digitization & process enhancement initiatives to further improve efficiency across Trade Product team

 

Key Result Areas:

Business & Sales Support

  • Provide support to business on the Open Account Trade portfolio, with active and timely execution in the required due diligence, debtor addition and required reportings
  • Act as a central coordination point between Trade Sales, Relationship Managers, Operations, and clients on to ensure required due diligence and debtor additions are performed diligently and timely
  • KPI: 100% adherence to operational tasks as per Unit SOP
  • Ensure proper and accurate digital storage of all verified documents KPI: 100% digital storage
  • Maintain service levels by working closely with Operations, RM, and clients KPI: >95% service levels

 

Risk Support/ Due Diligence

  • Complete proposals for facility changes, including buyer/seller additions and deletions KPI: 100% / minimum 30 per month
  • Conduct due diligence and validation under Receivables Finance programs KPI: 100% / minimum 500 per mont
  • Identify and highlight discrepancies, exceptions, and potential risks, ensuring timely escalation and follow-up

 

Client Experience, Efficiency & Digitization

  • Enhance client experience and turnaround times through efficient handling of requests and coordination
  • Work with Operations and Product teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Contribute to digitisation & process enhancement initiatives KPI: Evidenced improvements via operational feedback / case studies

 

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure adherence to all Bank policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines KPI: 100% adherence
  • Complete all mandatory trainings within required timelines KPI: 100% completion
  • Support RCSA and internal control processes KPI: Pass rating with no material breaches


 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of all Government Related and functional processes.
  • Minimum Graduation; preferably MBA / CA / CFA or equivalent
  • 4–6 years’ experience in Trade Finance / Open Account Trade / Factoring / Middle Office
  • Preferably certified in International Trade and/ or Factoring (FCI / FDA)
  • Strong understanding of:
    Trade cycle and financial analysis
    Receivables Finance / Open Account structures
    Account conduct and risk considerations
  • Working knowledge of banking systems, processes, and products
  • Familiarity with local regulations and UAE market practices
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage stakeholders effectively
  • Good communication, presentation skills, and professional presence
  • High integrity and ability to maintain independence from commercial pressures
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications in day to day to ensure disciplined and timely execution
  • Manage due diligence processes for Open Account Trade, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Implement transaction control measures to support sustainable portfolio growth.
  • Lead digitization initiatives, improving efficiency and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to align on process enhancements and digitization strategies.
  • Resolve operational challenges and provide effective solutions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Monitor and analyze trade transactions, identifying areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Product team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Provide training and support to junior analysts, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trade finance or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance products and services.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant financial software.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry developments.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset.
