Foodstuffs South Island is seeking a Service Deli Assistant for fixed term part-time maternity cover at Fendalton New World in Christchurch. The role combines delivering excellent customer service from the deli cabinets with hot and cold food preparation, stocking cabinets, and strict adherence to food safety and health and safety regulations, plus cleaning duties. Shifts run Monday and Wednesday 7am-4pm and Sunday 6am-3pm, with opportunities to pick up extra hours. The successful candidate will be strong at communication, work well in a team, can multi-task and meet deadlines, and bring a positive work ethic. Fixed Term / Part-Time (1-year Maternity Cover)

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Service Deli team.

The responsibilities of the position include:

• Delivering excellent customer service serving customers from the Deli cabinets
• Hot and cold food preparation ranging from pizzas, salads, sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, hot chickens
• Stocking cabinets
• Adhering to our food safety and health and safety regulations
• Cleaning of all areas of the department 

Personal attributes required are:

• Strong communication skills 
• Ability to work well within a team 
• Capability to multi-task and also complete tasks within the required timeframes
• A positive work ethic and attitude

This opportunity offers these shifts:

• Monday 7am-4pm
• Wednesday 7am-4pm
• Sunday 6am-3pm 

There will also be opportunities to pick-up and cover additional shifts.
