The Impact You'll Make

We have an immediate opening for a 3rd Shift Machinist to join our inclusive team in Freeport, IL. The Machinist will operate and set up conventional, numerical control (NC), and specialized machines and machining centers to accurately machine steel and brass components. The wage range for this position is $26.93 - $29.00, plus a 10% shift differential. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available, with $750 paid after 3 months and $750 after 6 months.

• Employs innovative strategies and ideas to resolve issues, optimizing the use of available resources.
• Performs all required Total Productive Environment (TPE) activities and maintains possession of necessary personal tools.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; alternatively, one to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent blend of education and experience.
• Capable of reading and interpreting documents like safety regulations, operating and maintenance manuals, and procedural guides.
• Proficient in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across all units of measure, utilizing whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• MUST have machining experience.  This position is not eligible for company sponsorship.
