The role involves hands-on work: shoveling, sweeping, raking, lifting and pushing, using handheld tools, and staying productive in all weather. You’ll need to partner with the crew per plan specs, be willing to cross-train for other tasks to meet daily schedules, and maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with coworkers and the public. Flagger certification is required during new hire orientation. Preferred but not required: high school diploma and prior experience. Job Description Summary

• Application, including shoveling, sweeping, raking, mechanical assistance, lifting, pushing and pulling of various objects.  Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.  Other duties as assigned per supervisor.

Requirements

• Must partner with crew members per plan specifications, and if need be, perform tasks of other positions as instructed by crew foreman to ensure daily schedules/estimates are met.
• Usage of various handheld tools.
• Attendance required according to attendance policy to ensure crew ability to operate at a normal efficiency level.
• Physical ability to shovel and to rake asphalt, stone, and dirt, as well as, manage traffic flow under extreme temperatures and for extended periods of time.
• Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completions.
• Attitude/cooperation:  always maintain courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
• Flagger Certification is an essential function of the job and certification will be required to be obtained during new hire orientation.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
