Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- 1 year of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience utilizing modern IDEs (such as VSCode or Cider-V) and leveraging AI assistance for code generation or workflow automation.
- Experience in using LLM and applying AI/ML concepts to design autoraters, evaluate data quality, or streamline development processes.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain code for software solutions supporting Google Merchant Center's data ingestion and feed management systems based on defined requirements.
- Contribute to backend services and frontend experiences (using C++, Java, Dart, or distributed systems) that process merchant product data, ensuring code is high-quality, well-factored, and resilient.
- Work alongside cross-functional partners (Product, UX, and other Engineering teams) to implement merchant-facing features and data quality insights.
- Support engineering excellence by participating in code reviews and writing thoroughly tested code. Help keep data pipelines reliable by troubleshooting system issues and applying standard technical solutions.
- Utilize LLMs and Gemini to help build autoraters for evaluating product data quality and to automate testing workflows.
