Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy innovative frontend features integrating YouTube, Google Commerce, and AI/ML technologies.
  • Build and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable software for the YouTube and YouTube Studio applications across both web and mobile, leveraging the full potential of YouTube's infrastructure.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Partner with cross-functional engineering teams including Viewer, Merchants, and Platform to deliver seamless, end-to-end shopping experiences.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
