Applied Intuition seeks a Software Engineer for Low Speed Motion Planning in Stuttgart, full-time onsite. You will design and implement motion planning and controls modules for autonomous vehicle stacks, tailor controls to customer vehicle dynamics, and explore techniques like nonlinear MPC and MPPI. Ideal candidates have 3+ years building production software, hands-on testing on real vehicles, and strong C++ with control theory and numerical optimization. Nice-to-have items include MSc or PhD, safety-critical coding guidelines (MISRA AUTOSAR), experience with quadratic programming solvers, and machine learning for dynamics. Tips: highlight measurable impact, show collaboration with customers, emphasize on-site readiness, and apply even if not all requirements are met.
We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.
We are looking for bright engineers interested in designing elegant solutions to difficult problems in the autonomy space. Your contributions will focus on building out capabilities of an autonomous vehicle stack, including necessary enablement work on the infrastructure- and vehicle-side. At Applied Intuition, we encourage engineers to take ownership over technical and product decisions, interact closely with users & customers to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture.
Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
