About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join the Al Mandhar Lounge team in Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:

• Support the Executive Chef in setting, maintaining, and improving service and food quality standards.
• Prepare and cook dishes to high standards following recipes, hygiene rules, and cleaning procedures.
• Communicate operational issues promptly, assist in menu development, and ensure use of seasonal ingredients.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, monitor adherence to policies, and maintain training programs.
• Ensure cleanliness, proper equipment maintenance, and compliance with HACCP and Jumeirah safety standards.
• Promote teamwork, resource efficiency, and continuous improvement in kitchen operations.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

• At least 5 years of experience, of which at least 1 year in charge of a lounge at a luxury 5-star hotel.
• College Degree in Culinary Arts or similar from an accredited Culinary School.
• Expert management of multi-cuisine kitchens, food quality and presentation skills.
• Expert in menu development, pricing, production, and delivery skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and customer service orientation.
