About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef – Pizzaiolo to join Jumeirah Al Naseem. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Support the Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine in leading the pizzeria section, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality, authentic pizzas aligned with the outlet concept and Jumeirah standards 
• Take a hands-on role in dough preparation, pizza production, oven management, and service execution, ensuring correct techniques, presentation, and consistency 
• Assist with menu development and innovation, contributing to seasonal Italian-inspired pizza offerings using high-quality ingredients and creative techniques 
• Supervise, train, and develop the kitchen team within the pizzeria section, ensuring adherence to recipes, food safety standards, and operational procedures 
• Monitor food quality, hygiene, cleaning schedules, and kitchen organisation, ensuring full compliance with HACCP and health & safety regulations 
• Support cost control, inventory management, and efficient use of resources (food, labour, energy) to maintain operational efficiency

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: 

• Experienced Sous Chef with a strong Italian cuisine background, incorporating solid pizzaiolo experience as part of a broader culinary skill set, gained within luxury hotels or premium standalone restaurants 
• Hands-on, detail-driven leader who trains, motivates, and supervises teams to consistently deliver high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation 
• Quality-focused and operationally disciplined, with sound knowledge of food safety, cost control, and efficient kitchen operations within a high-volume, luxury environment
